When I was a kid we used to live near a high school and constantly had kids parking on our street or turning around in our driveway because it was a cul de sac. My dad got fed up and put posts up and a chain across the driveway and some idiot drove in, wrapped the chain around the front of his car and fucked it up. The driver was yelling that he was going to sue. It was pretty funny.

I should do this. I live on a block that wraps around, but people still insist on using my driveway to turn around. I'm basically the halfway point too.

Because it's annoying. Why come onto my property when you can go to an intersection and turn around? Same reason I don't like those meter readers, or people delivering flyers walking across my lawn just because its more convenient for them. I find it disrespectful. I don't let my kids wander over people's lawns or driveways when we go for walks because thats someone elses property and sidewalks/roads/parks are public property where we are free to do that.

That being said, I put it in the "shouldn't be pet peeves thread" because I also know it makes no material difference to anything and causes no damage to anything besides getting on my nerves.
