Default Where do you take your Mercedes for servicing? Forget Hyatt or Lonestar

My Benz is well out of warranty (its an 07) but still only 50,000km.

Just got prompted for a service A, which entails oil change, fluids level check and replenishment, tire inflation check, brake pads check, and a reset on the maintenance counter (in the dash).

As much as I love spending $450 on something like this, I'm truthfully not throwing money everywhere.

I went to lonestar for the duration of my warranty period but their service people are too condescending and I'm tired of how much ti costs.

Any suggestions? Can any shop reset my service counter?

YouTube how to clear the prompt by yourself and go to any one with basic mechanical experience. Alpine is going to make you wait a month and still charge an arm and a leg. You don't need a German car specialist to do this service.

Wait a month and charge an arm and a leg? Is there a story there? Ive had my euro cars serviced with them for years and service has been exceptional.

Hmm Does this place specialize in Mercedes at all? Maybe a good place for after warranty.

Not at all, I use them for my vehicle too and have always been happy with the service.

I just meant they're busy and they're not exactly cost effective when it comes to an incredibly simple service like what OP needs. They're booking far in advance, last time I called all I needed was a thorough inspection before my car came off warranty and wait time was nearly a month.

For a fluid change you can go to any competent mechanic and for getting rid of the message on the dash that can be done in a minute by yourself.

    EDIT:
here's how you reset it, I don't get why you need a Benz specialist to do this and an oil change.

If he had a real issue then I'd suggest Alpine too.

You want to talk slow service, try Stevo Auto Clinic. Get used to your car sitting on the street for at least a week. Glad I no longer have my kraut hauler.

Distinctive collection will work on them. When I was there the shop rates were a close to merc prices.
