I've been a customer of Mid-Town Service for over 30 years. Honest mechanics, very reasonable prices, and top quality work on my current 1.8T Passat & 2.0 Golf, as well as previous Rabbits and Beetles.

Concept 1 has done some nice work with aftermarket performance parts on my Beetle suspension, and I buy a lot of parts from them...very knowledgeable.

Not the experience that I had there about 3 years ago.

-Went there, asked to purchase a set of headlights they had on display in the store. They were not able to get them for me for some reason - okay will order them online.

-Called and asked for a quote for the install and to book an appointment prior to ordering the lights online. When I got there for the appointment, they said it would cost me ~$100 more than I was initially told - Okay fine take my money since I've already come here with the lights I just bought.

-Got called that my car is ready - got there and they were unable to wire the turn signals or drl's and still charged me the new full price of the install. I was told that they had installed these headlights many times before.

-Went home and printed off a wiring diagram and went back to them for them to fix the wiring. The projectors were adjusted no further than 6-8 feet in front of my car and the wiring was all over the place so I had to go get that redone (elsewhere).

-Tried to contact them a couple times to see if they would do anything but received no response.

-Got ripped off and learned the hard way. /end rant
