My shifter on my focus is stock length wise. I did however add the COBB short shift plate which is set at 40% shorter throws.
Rest are just transmission mods which have significantly improved the sloppy stock shifter and feel.
JBR solid shifter bushings (shifter side mounted on floor)
FS Werks solid shifter bracket bushings (transmission side)
COBB shift knob which actually feels better overall than the stock one
Honestly the best bang for the buck (and cheapest) was my solid shifter bushings from JBR and FS Werks. The shifter doesn't have that sloppy feel anymore and feels a lot more mechanical and overall better to shift with.
Strongly recommend it.
+1 for the JBR solid shifter bushings. Well worth the money.
You should seriously get the FS Werks ones as well. Those made the car a hundred times better to driveOriginally posted by eglove

I don't wanna buy anything else for the car. I have the itch for something new
