Lexus
Honda anything esp. S2000?
Dishonourable mention: AMG
Fox body EFI 5.0 Mustang's (5 speed.)
LT4 powered Camaro's/Corvette's (rare!)
I also agree on S2000's. People always seem to be
asking absurd money for those things.

Anything not American or Korean is generally pretty good from what I've seen.
The larger German cars aren't great for value holding either (7 series, E/S class, etc.), exceptions being M/AMG/S/RS cars.
American luxury SUV/Sedan has got to be the absolute worst. If there are some recent figures I'd be curious to see them.
Lexus, Honda, Acura, Toyota, BMW M, some MB AMG, Audi S/RS are pretty good for holding value. Acura MDX and TSX holds insanely well too. Subaru is up there as well I think.
Another rule of thumb is the cars that lots of people want, but are too cheap to buy in any given general segment. For example the GTI, WRX, TSX, etc. Everyone wants a GTI at a Civic price, and it doesn't work like that, so it keeps resale nice and high.

Older lambos, ferraris, heck they even go up when you get the correct model... F40 for example
"The car debuted with a factory suggested retail price of approximately US$400,000 in 1987 ($830,000 today), although some buyers were reported to have paid as much as US$1.6 million. 1,311 F40s were manufactured in total."
I've read and heard that fj cruisers had the highest resale value. I don't know if that will hold true or go up now that they have been discontinued

Our 2003 Honda CR-V sold for 30% of it's new price after 10 years & 150,xxx KM's on the clock. There's no way in hell my Ram half ton is going to keep that kind of value...lol.
Edit - Which is why I didn't buy the truck new.

S2k's dropped in value hard maybe 5-6 years ago (when everyone was bringing them in from the States) and since then they've started to climb back up.
- Honda Fit
- Honda CRV
- Toyota Tacoma
Most Subaru badged things.
+1 for Lexus
I think the vehicle that holds its value the best is the Toyota 4runner. For some reason it just doesn't drop no matter how many kms are on it

I think E39 M5s have bottomed. If you can find a clean one (hard to do) I wouldn't be surprised if it's worth the same or more than you paid in 5 years.
plz
