Default 2014 FORMULA 1 Brazilian Grand Prix

Bad FP1 for Button, but not sure if he cares at this point. Hamilton gave Jenson a big endorsement, but it looks more and more like he's getting shown the door.

Lots of drivers complaining of lack of grip on the resurfaced track. Should be interesting once it starts to rain.

ouch, the entire team eh? musta been a tough announcement to make, but i guess they had no choice.

So that means only 18 cars for the final 2 races?

LONDON -- Formula One team Caterham has launched a crowdfunding project to ease its financial difficulties and return to the grid for the final grand prix of the season in Abu Dhabi this month.

Caterham administrator Finbarr O'Connell says "we are working non-stop to get the Caterham F1 team back racing," and that "one of our most useful, innovative and effective options right now is crowdfunding."

Supporters can donate from 10 pounds ($16) and will receive rewards for their contribution, such as their name on the car if it competes in Abu Dhabi.

The project aims to raise 2.35 million pounds ($3.7 million) by next Friday. If unsuccessful, it will return the pledged funds.

Here's the link to Caterham's crowdfunding site . I personally haven't missed them, but if you donate enough, they will give you stuff, like car parts or crew clothing. A surprising amount of this stuff is already gone! But only £320,000 of the £2,350,000 target has been raised so far. And that's only supposed to get them to Dubai.

So here's my theory: This is why Ferrari hasn't announced their drivers for next year. They're gonna have Vettel and both Alonso and Räikkönen because they're gonna have to run three cars!

I've been away for a while, so sorry if anybody else has already posted that theory. I'll just take credit for helping to spread the rumour.

6 days left in the campaign and Caterham is up to £643,996. Might this work?! This reminds me of the £1.2 million that Justin Wilson raised in 2003 for his seat at Minardi by forming a company. At least Caterham is offering wheel nuts and dinner with a driver.

I didn't miss them today any more than before, but a lot of people clearly did, because with 5 days to go, Caterham has now raised £1,080,209. We should really start crowdfunding to launch our own team.

If they get close, I'm buying a wheel rim.
