    Default rim questions...

Will 225/50-15 Advan R's fit on a 15X6 rims, or what rim width would be optimal?? And will they fit on my car with the 2" drop, or are they going to rub? TIA

i think you need atleast 7" wide rim to put 225's on.

    optimal width would be 7"-7.5"

225 tires would be too wide for 6" rims. 195 is probably the widest you should put on.

I think you'd want to go with a wider rim than that even.
I think rubbing all depends on the offset of the wheels.
    I'm running 215's on a 7.5" wide rim.

It's not that they'll rub the car with 6" wide rims it's that the tire is the absolute widest you can go with for that width of rim. It'd probably help your straight line acceleration with the extra contact area but your handling will take a big hit. The tire will roll over the edge of the rim and the sidewall will take a beating, the sidewall also isn't the greatest for traction
