I need to be up at 3:30 so I went to bed at 7:30 like a good boy to get a nice 8 hour sleep. Been up since 10. It's midnight now. I'm going to hate tomorrow.

I bought my ISF in cash (at the sellers request). It seemed to stupid to be walking around with a gym bag full of cash.

I've bought and sold several vehicles for cash. Lots even. But the again, I've bought and sold more four-digit cars than most people. It gets to be a paid when it's five digits.

Sub ~$10k cash is fine, above that direct transfer, bank draft or wire imo.

Learning of this and whoever said that thing about "cannon" makes me glad I spend as much time indoors and away from others because I don't want to think about what I'd do if I heard someone say either of those things.

    CBSA rant...

C'mon it's been sitting at customs inspection for 2 weeks... Clear it or reject it - why are we 2 weeks in limbo? FFS.

Roughly guessing that was hovering around $30k. So isn't that like three hundred $100 bills which is like six banded $5k "stacks". That should fit in 3 pockets, not so much a gym bag, no?

There were also 20s and 50s since we didn’t plan in advance and retail banks don’t like giving you what you want on demand.

The customs officer will eventually inspect it during the one day a week they're not working from home.

This is my peve. If I want 10k cash right now, give it to me. It's not like it's a huge amount. I can see it being a problem if it was 100k even 50k.

Yes, I was going to mention this. I went to grab like $5k one time and they gave it to me, but made a stink about it and said I should've phoned first or some bullshit.
So the next time I needed a shwack of cash, I phoned the RBC Cunt Dept which they make you think you're calling your branch but you're calling some twat in Toronto. And she says "there's no way we can handle that request - we would need notice of 7-10 business days" and I said "cool story bro, I'll be there in 4 hours".
Got whatever chicken shit amount I need which I think was like $7k and went about my paying off bookies and whores.
    So. Dumb.

Retail banks have basically entirely forgotten what business they are in.

Fucking CBSA, turn me back at the border last week with two salvage cars for insufficient paper work, so I come home empty handed (and out $500 in gas trailer rental). Go back this week more paper work, “you don’t need any of that take it all back you’re good to go with just a BOS”… fucking train your people you fucking morans. Fuck.
