Just going to be more people selling their $20k vehicle for a $60k one to “save money on fuel”.

Thing is they're also doing gov't incentives to get an EV while disincentives to fuel vehicles. Probably from this carbon tax.
It will help the Ontario Auto Workers and that's what matters most, right?
Get VW building ev stuff in Ontario and jobs, jobs, jobs.

$5.99/GJ fixed on easy max right now. Lower than we've seen in a long time. Maybe avg down for anyone higher currently.

12.99¢/kWh electrical fixed. Lower too than recent history.

I'm on a 5 year fixed Electricity plan @ .0659. My Enmax statement doesnt show an expiry date.

Would I have to check online ? Just curious how long this gravy train ride will last.

Latest Floating NG was 3.557534 / GJ.

With summer gas printing $2.30/GJ this morning, and winter 23/24 printing $3.39. Those fixed rates don’t seem that compelling at all even factoring the $1/GJ fee.

I've been watching NG trying to debate when/if it's worth flipping. Currently on 4.09 fixed, I think just last month is the first time floating beat that. But there's also the risk of giving up that fixed price if thinks spike up next winter again.

Log in -> Right side it says the plan you are on, click 'Manage my plan' then it lists expiry dates there.

I mean it doesn’t cost you a lot to hold fixed gas through the summer, most people burn so little in the summer months it’s a rounding error.

Yes, summer gas cost is irrelevant to most households.

You dropped the fixed contract entirely? OR just the nat gas portion?

My neighbour did that. Had a truck, has to drive out of town twice a week so got a very nice Volvo hybrid instead of an F150.

It's really nice and the guy can more than afford it. But his whole reasoning to was "save gas money" and spent easily $125k

Can you sign back up on fixed gas again at anytime? Or do you have to wait 1 year or something before being eligible to go back on a fixed gas contract? Essentially, is there some sort of consequence to exiting the fixed contract?

1 month. But you lose your current fixed rate and would have to switch onto whatever is the market offer for fixed plans at that time
