Easymax, switching is.... Easy. A few clicks of the mouse.

I feel like floating electricity is playing with fire a bit as the small cost savings vs. Fixed may not necessarily outweigh the risks. Gas is more predictable imo.

I'd like to be wrong and see low electricity prices over the summer though.

I switched to floating gas last Friday. Electricity I am on fixed at $0.0929 cents I think I will hold off on changing that to floating.

Likewise. Gas is floating, electricity fixed for now and will see how the next couple months look like.

I'm sure I said it before, but gas only matters at my house for 4 months of winter. Use so little in the summer it makes no difference.

Still got a 6 cent handle locked in until October so going to be watching the fixed rates pretty closely here.

With the floating, how much are the extra fees? I thought I heard there is some fee only the floating rate payers pay to cover some non payments during covid. Is that a thing?

It's a thing, but zero to do with COVID. It's been like that for decades.

$1.29 on gas I believe, it’s just their margin buying the gas at market prices and reselling it you you.

If you go fixed the margin is baked in.

I'm still in an old locked in electric rate below current fixed.
Also, my electric use is same year round, so I have "more to lose" on an incorrect bet on floating electric.

That’s for RRO customers. Easymax floating isn’t a part of that.
