    Default Your #1 CULT movie

Well what's yours? I just found mine last night. 1991 "Stone Cold"

To describe it in one word: gratuitous. I'm actually shocked that this movie got released even with an NC-17 rating. Typically the bad guy doesn't win in movies. And the violence/language/nudity is just absurd.

Runner up movies would be "Tango & Cash" or "Cobra"

The room, produced, directed, funded, written and starring Tommy wiseau. They have a midnight screening at the plaza every now and then and I guarantee it willbe one of the best movie experience you've had.

I watch this one regularly. It hits pretty much every single aspect of being an amazing movie to watch while drunk with friends. It has to be my ultimate cult favorite.

would not call Office Space a cult movie. Was about as mainstream and popular as you can get.

While not a box office success, the film has sold well on DVD and VHS, and has become recognized as a cult classic
Whats your definition of cult movie? It wasn't overly successful for years after it came out.

Do you only count movies that nobody but you likes?

That's not cult, that's lack of taste .

Office Space is definitely a cult classic, the only thing mainstream about it was that it had Jennifer Aniston at the height of her TV career, that's about it.

The Evil Dead trilogy was my favorite for YEARS, but kind of overwatched them

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

    Regarding Troll 2.

I saw this Troll 2 documentary a couple of months ago. It's very entertaining and available on Netflix:

I can't decide between Army of Darkness or Pulp Fiction.

Cube, Cube 2: Hypercube also get honorable mentions.

I have to go with The Room. It hits that sweet spot of so-bad-it's-good without wrapping back around to sucking like Birdemic did.

Both great movies, but also ones I didn't watch more than once.

A Scanner Darkly should be in there too.
