Default Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC 2015)

Dates are finally official though they've been more or less confirmed for a while.

Anyone else going? Tickets on sale Dec 1st. Looks like they got rid of pre-sale for returners and its just general sales Dec 1st with two tiers of pricing.

Likely going solo this year as none of my friends ever commit to going or seem to bail halfway to June so too much headache. Anyone up for splitting a hotel or have a group that wouldn't mind a +1?

Unfortunately lineup doesn't usually get finalized/announced until the event is closer

    Here was last year though:

I don't get why people ask for the lineups, the lineup is pretty much every great dj you can think of. But yeah I did go to EDC 2014 and had the time of my life. Planning to go to tomorrowland for 2015 but we will see maybe i'll end up going to edc again!

I'm debating Tomorrowland buy the flights are killer to go. Vegas was 400$ for flight, 600$ for hotel unless I can find people to go with, and ~400$ for the festival ticket.

Last time I looked at tomorrowland it was going to be over 2k for tickets + dreamville + flights to europe

Did Tomorrowland this year and flights + Tomorrowland was just under $3k, but we did do Global Journey from Paris & Dreamville with an Easy Tent so it was pricier than regular tickets. Tomorrowland was hands down the best 4 days of my life. The Dreamville experience is really what sets it apart. If you guys do go to Tomorrowland, I highly recommend doing Dreamville as well as I feel you would be losing out on half of the experience without it.

This year my friends are planning to do EDC but I'm torn between wanting to go back to Tomorrowland and going to EDC (Never been to EDC).

How crazy are the ticket sales for EDC? Is it fairly easy to be able to buy tickets?

Yeah, thats kinda what I was figuring. I've wanted to do dreamville for sure, its the biggest thing that TL has over EDC.

Ticket sales for EDC aren't bad, there is two tiers of pricing, first tier might be gone quick but the second probably won't sell out for a couple months though. I think last year it sold out in March or later?

There's ~150,000 tickets or something so not overly hard to get some.

They re-released tickets after it was "sold-out" in June this year...

EDC is very good value at the price I think - they just need to work on the food options down there.

    Also, book your accomodation early.

It's never too late man. When I went to the last one there was a retired couple there rocking out in the back. They said it reminded them of woodstock and were having a blast.

I met another middle aged couple (late 30's / early 40's) and chatted with them. They said every summer this was their weekend away, they went to EDC while the kids went to the grand parents.

Edit: Last year's announcement video was better (much longer)

it's never too late man, there are older people at the festivals who have better dance moves that some of the younger kids! never too late to groove,

i hear that! I avoid going to the Calgary events now because I think i'll just feel out of place. One of the major festivals would be a sweet experience though. It'd be nice to feel that vibe and energy again!
