If that's the case, then they should have just stayed in the car and used the car's intercom till the kid put the toy down. I didn't see any other people around that were at risk..

Edit: Quick search indicates that they do not have bullet-proof glass

Hmm, I thought for sure they were. Good to know I guess.

That was one of the many scenarios I was thinking of.. Guess that's one to cross off the list.

The Second Amendment (Amendment II) to the United States Constitution protects the right of individuals[1][2] to keep and bear arms.
Even if he wasnt a little boy, the police cant just roll up on someone and take away someones life practicing his/her second amendment rights... but of course were talking about the ZioAmerican empire here which doesnt value human life and instead treats it as cattle.

Assasinate a kid, holding a toy gun, in an open carry state.

Tragic. If you wanna be a cop, should be prepared to take a bullet to save a child's life.

Cops should be held to HIGHER standards!

Why the fuck did they park like that! The cruiser should have pulled straight toward the kid so they could get out behind the cover of the door. It looks like they fucked up big time.

I dont necessarily disagree broken, but they literally just pulled up and shot while getting out of the car. They ESCALATED the situation, which is exactly what the police aren't supposed to do.

Why didnt they approach from a distance? I would ((ass)ume that is SOP.

I'm thinking I should throw a brick into someone's business and then steal from them.

I (think) you were being sarcastic. Your first comment made you appear to be a huge dick who blames a child for his own death. With zero evidence you cast judgememt absolute on a dead child and made a joke of him being removed from the gene pool. This is typical for you from what you usually post. Thats why it must be trolling when you magically do a 180 and suddenly have the exact opposite opinion.

I cant tell if your trolling right now or just an idiot.

I must be missing something here - the kid was in a gazebo near a playground area, no?

If so, what relevance does your statement above have?

I played air soft for a number of years and problems like this keep popping up. Some times people are trying to do the hole suicide by police and other times it is just a kid bringing his cool toy to school and not thinking of the outcome. It's a shame this kid had to loose his life but if a cop tells you to reach for the sky maybe don't go for the toy gun! it passes me off the some people still don't know how to properly interact the police officers. Give them respect and they return it, worked for me when I was arrested.
If you get angry at my post please re-read as a joke or sarcasm.

skimmed through a couple of posts and articles and honestly I don't see any problems with how the cops reacted.

part of the mistake was the dispatcher failing to mention that it might be a fake gun but I can't blame them either for not disclosing it, public place with lots of people, kids especially and someone with a gun with no orange tip?
sure the victim on this case was a 12 year old kid with a fake gun but what if it was an insane adult just waiting to go on a shooting rampage?
the cops just acted based on the info that they received in order to protect the public.

tough to say who to blame but I think parents of this current generation is a big part of it, parents failing at their parenting job, relying on someone else to discipline their kids yet when they don't agree they start crying.

about in regards to racism, this was not a racist case and the fact that the media and people in general still has to point the color or race of a person means we still have a long way to go.
but then this is how media makes money

Ouch, no need to be a dick

My initial comment was before the video or these details. I assumed the police did their SOP, pulled up at a distance, assessed the situation, controlled the situation, asked the kid to put the gun down/hands in the air, and then shot when the kid pointed the gun at them.

This literally looks like a drive by, minus the drive by. Its people like you that damage your liberlist wishy washy cause of everyone being innocent when you jump on someone that has changed their mind. I thought when you quoted me, you were agreeing with me, which I basically recanted.

But fuck you asshole, thanks for playing nice :p

Sure, but is it societal or cultural within the black community.

For instance, its not whitey thats created the epidemic of fatherless kids in the black community. Not having a good father figure screws people up quite a bit, and typically two adult households are stronger financially than one. What do those two things lead to? Poverty and crime. Its a chicken and egg thing, no different than the natives. In this day and age, I believe that those two issues far outstrip the "unconscious" racism every white person is "apparently" guilty of.
