That rink is almost as old as the Dome as it was completed in 1988 which means it would need substantial capex thrown at it to bring to modern standards. On the plus side, it has a very similar capacity to MTS Centre in Winnipeg but would still be the smallest in the league.

I remember talks about building a new rink, but they couldn't decide whether to put it downtown or not.
