Default What Barbershop do you go to?

I'm currently looking for a place, ideally inner city NW. Looking for a barbershop with good barbers - doesn't really matter to me if it's $20 or $40, I just want someone that does a good job with care and attention. I previously went to a "mens salon" for a while, and once I tried a barbershop, I realized how much better it is.

I go to Figaros downtown. Just 3 Italians working there. Always great service and have never had a bad haircut. Don't expect them to be the type of shop if you want designs and stuff shaved into your head. They are a little more traditional. Price wise it's around $30-35 if I remember correctly. I don't really pay attention.

I go to razors edge in Canyon Meadows, it's a hell of a drive for me but I'm incredibly picky when it comes to getting my hair cut. I get a fade from a zero to like 4 inches long on top and pretty much every barber fucks it up or leaves some sort of line, it gets even harder to do when I'm in town cause I go once a week so when I do go they have nothing to work with.

I used to go to hot shave one 14th sw but when they changed owners all the good barbers disappeared. I then tried a handful of random shops with good reviews which were all pretty mediocre.

Ask for Tek at Razors Edge and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside us.

Brett is the owner there, and is great. Vance is around at odd hours, but is also solid.

lots of my buddies go to second mile barbershop at 1304 4 St SW.

Pretty popular amongst the younger guys with the new fades and pompadours.

This sounds promising. I don't want designs shaved in my head; I'm an adult with a real job

Funny you suggest them, that's the place that turned me on to barber shops, but it's tough to justify the drive haha.

I used to go to a place in Elveden center. Dirt Cheap old boys club with classy mags in the waiting area.

Don't work anywhere near there now so i stopped using them

I go the path of least Resistance when it comes to getting my hair tidied up. I don't do reservations. I call before walking over to ask if they can accommodate me. And i don't care who does it haha.

^Where do you typically walk to? Somewhere by home or work?

The reason I ask, is because I'm fairly sure we live close to each other. I'm "Technically in the NE" as well. hahaha

I get my hair cut exclusively over lunch haha. Paid to get hair cut is similar to paid to poop in satisfaction.

Of late i do the angles "salon" in TD . I always ask for the junior stylist who charges 10 bucks less. I have never seen a single female get their hair cut there haha. Girls are to picky to go to a chain.

I just walk over in the plus 15. 5 minutes. 30 to get cut. Grab some Koryo upstairs. Walk back to office

The one in Dalhousie, it's part of the Co-Op or Sobey's. $19. They always do a good job. I keep meaning to try Razor's Edge but it's too damn far from during this time of year.

I'll be checking them out, I'm right next door these days, and I could use a downtown option, becaues as you say, getting paid to get your hair cut is pretty nice. Just got paid to have my shoes shined, and I figure it was about free.

    haha fair enough.

I have a buddy who bragged about getting a 60 dollar hair cut once (I believe from them).

We have never let him live it down between handing him the bar bill or making fun of him for not buying groceries. Because if he pays 60 bucks to cut his hair he can afford that.

    What else are friends for
