How fast are the actual fiber speeds? Better than broadband 100?

hey guys, I have been getting a lot of people asking "I have already made the switch and TELUS is coming in XX days to install, can you still save me the $50?"

Short answer is, No. I have the employee referral program at work, so I can refer a new customer to save you the $50. once you start the switch or new service, I can't save you the cash.

    Either way, welcome to TELUS!

The map is weird. I'm in Cranston and have FTTH. Like it was said, pretty much all new neighborhoods have it.

Yah I clicked on the map link.. I haven't called Telus yet (i'm just trying to catch up for my new home possession on the 30th) as I am not sure if I should go shaw or telus.

But is the fibre available in aspen?

Definitely a tough decisions. Watch a lot of hockey, football, basket ball. Game a fair bit so want the higher speed and for quicker downloads.

Shaw has changed their internet plans a bit and I'm pretty sure if you call in they bump u to the plan closest to yours for the same price

All neighbourhoods/houses built after 2010 have fibre. The map only relates to older neighbourhoods that they are upgrading

Telus came and installed internet this morning

So much better. I can actually watch Netflix again!

Yup, I'm moving so i need to order new services, and I couldn't believe the bullshit shaw is trying to sell right now. I talked to a rep there asking why their 250 and 100 plans are gone and they said less than 5% of the customer base used it. Well, being part of that 5% I don't like getting the shaft if I have to move (internet is currently under someone else's name in the household)

After 10+ years of being a customer of shaw, I can wholeheartedly tell them to go eat a dick.

If you take anything I have to say seriously, you're gunna have a bad time.

Its only a fail if you were able to get the full 100mbit. Most people were not.

I called in to Shaw and spoke to someone in the loyalty department who successfully upgraded me to their Internet 60 with a 6mo promo of $45/mo (50% off). I'm paying less now but I'm sure they're counting on me not downgrading after to promo. I have a feeling they're correct

I hear there'll be another rate increase in Aug/Sept of this year.... f*ck!
