Post today, the day China became the world's biggest economy.

    Overtaking the US.

This just in from the International Monetary Fund: China has become the largest economy in the world, finally surpassing the United States. The U.S. became the largest world economy in 1872, surpassing Great Britain. Great Britain became the world’s largest economy in 1870, surpassing … China.

Being the world’s largest economy doesn’t mean having the world’s highest standard of living. The median household income in the U.S. is $52,000. The median household income in China is $2,500.

I heard from the political black activist Randy Short that somewhere upto 30 million black slaves were brought over to the Americas. Of course the best way to triumph over other empires in economics is to have colonies of slaves to create capital.

China in realistic terms is living like the US was in 1970.

Sure, you are only making maybe $250 per month equivalent, but its still buying a lifestyle that is arguably better than a person making $50,000 now in modern north america.

Things were way better back in 1970, picnics on the moon, whereas now - we have to hitch a ride with the russians to make it 250 miles up.

    *sigh*
