Received a $10 overcharge for data usage on my phone - I don't care about the money, it's the principle.
Here is the problem - when I look at the breakdown, it shows I used 500 MB on days where I barely used the phone - no background apps running, no large emails, no streaming video, etc. There is no way in piss I used 500 MB in the matter of a few minutes (according to the breakdown). I called them last night and bitched - guy I got was a complete tool. I was in an area with shitty service throughout a large portion of last month and based on the article below, I believe that Telus may have been sending data packets, but I didn't receive them. They estimate data usage as well - how is there not a law that requires them to be 100% certain of data usage and user receipt of said data?
Fucking hate Telus....
