Default Poll: Short vs Long Levers.

Hey guys. What's your thoughts on both styles of levers. Short or long?

I have used short levers on my 600RR for a number of years and liked them. When I bought my 1000RR earlier this year, I told myself I'd ride with the OEM levers for the summer and see if my opinion changed. I don't mind the long style but I'm still leaning toward shorty's. Will be ordering in the new year.

    What do you guys like?

Shorty ' s are nice for quick gear changes.. but I've never put then on any of my bikes because I hate grabbing for a lever and with my huge hands, I can barely fit all four fingers on them. So I've just made do with the oem ones. To me it's not worth the money or time to install.

Where's the option for both? I prefer a long clutch lever & short brake combo.

If it's attached to a cable: long lever
If it's attached to a hose: it doesn't matter

Shorty's ftw but my hands are smaller though. The brand also makes a big difference on feel because of the shape of the actual lever.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

OEM, i feel there is more control

although with shorties, they do benefit for ripping around

I still think Harleys (only ridden 2014 models) have the best OEM levers. They just feel solid and comfortable.
