My wife and I loved the special. She thought Hammond sounded like Marvin the Martian.

Who owns Manchuria though?
So not a good analogy then? I wasn't sure.
Chinese held a grudge for Japanese occupation during WWII. Especially for Nanking Massacre during the occupation.Originally posted by flipstah

Stories from this made Hitler and SS looks like saints in comparison.

The Japanese pillaged our land like you wouldn't believe. It was horrible.Originally posted by 01RedDX
I guess a better analogy would be to imagine what would happen if a bunch of Japanese went cruising across the Chinese countryside in fancy cars. To this day, any perceived insult from the Japanese is met with protest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Ch...demonstrations
Except the horrific shit the Japanese did to their Asian neighbours is much worse than anything the British did to the Argentinians. Xtrema's post is just one example. They deserved to get nuked just for what they did in the Philippines alone.
Yeah, I wasn't sure of the extent of the hate towards the British so I threw an extreme to gauge the hate. As mentioned, it sounds like the Argentinians are just sore losers.
Any link to watch this?
2016 Tesla Model X
2018 Lincoln Navigator
2016 Porsche GT3 RS
It really doesn't surprise me that the Argentinians behaved the way they did in the show. What a bunch of savages.
This time 2 years ago I was in Argentina. I've never encountered as many stuck-up, unfriendly, and patriotic assholes, anywhere else in the world as in Argentina.
As you can tell from the show, the landscape is amazing, but just go to Chile and Brazil and skip out on Argentina. That's my travel tip of the day.

Scratch that...fat, boost, AWD, DSG
Unlike the last special I thought this was very well done. Isn't Hammond's car quite rare and sought after?
So I wonder what became of their cars..
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
Last news blurb I can found on this....Originally posted by clem24

I don't think that body style is very popular, it was the 69-70's that are sought afterOriginally posted by clem24

I watched this over the weekend. To be honest, I wasn't super impressed by it. It was cool, but I've liked many of their other specials more. The station wagon one, bolivia, the congo... vietnam. Actually I think I like this special the least of all haha
Dat lotus doe...
They seem tired and lost their fight in this one. I think the Argentinians did them a favor.Originally posted by cjblair

loved it
I thought cpt slow hurt himself a lot more than he did.

I didn't like this episode at all. I know much of Top Gear is staged but everything about this episode seemed fake. They cross a bridge that leads to a dead end? The cut through some field because the road ends? There is no doubt that the plate was done on purpose and regardless of how the Argentinians are it's disrespectful and them lying about it makes it worse.
