How the Fondo go Mira? I was going to do it but had to go to the inlaws. It’s a shame they only do it one day on the weekend

Haven't done a long ride for a while and I didn't have much snack with me so I was totally destroyed near the end. Then I remembered that I have a box of gel in the pantry lol. It was pretty good overall, I got to ride with people for the majority of the ride. Gonna have to get my endurance back.

got my new seat (Thanks Matt and Earl), so will see if that helps with some of the 'pressure' issues on the bike.

Guess i need non-alcoholic beer in my house... or just stick with the alcoholic version

So that's why I'm not an Olympian. Well there are drinking games, I'm not winning those neither. I'll just drink my sorrow away then.

What you guys do for maintenance with all this riding? I don’t really change gears much as I spend most of my time in erg mode. Apparently done between 660 km (garmin speedometer) and 1000 km (zwift). Shouldn’t really be getting any grit but still curious

I check my tire pressure (both front and rear), that's about it. Chain doesn't sound dry, so should still be good to go.

I managed to wear the chain out last winter. I did put on a lot of mileage doing the 12wk program though.

Anyone doing the championship on Sunday?

Canada is 9:30 am MST Feb. 24 Saturday... 3 times up volcano mountain...

I wish I'm capable of racing that. Even once, might already be too much for me.

Right it's Saturday lol. Volcano is not too bad. The total distance is 68k. I'm guess that it will last just under 2hrs, long enough that you have to watch your pace. No too many people have signed up, we'll see.

Got dropped by the lead group right away. Stayed in the second group for a bit before it split into two. Stayed in the third group until the end of the last climb where four of us got dropped. Managed to hold them back to finished 51st, 11:27 behind the winner. Legs are toast and I'm happy.

Good stuff... saw you holding 220+ watts... gave me cramps just looking at your numbers.

    L. Sanders (apparently he's a second place finisher of Kona) on his first climb up in the Canadian group, he kept around 3.5-4 watts/kg @ 140 bpm

Still too much coin for me, especially being it that its now March

Apparently it's my bike and the Tacx that doesnt get along. Could not get the bushido to fit right... got the Elite intera..should have got this one initially as it's waay easier to setup.. plus no calibration to piss me off. Will be re-running a FTP test tonight to see if it ups or downs it.

I do the Step test, which is slightly less hell, as i dont have to worry about holding 250 for 20 minutes..i just gotta get through to 300-325 watts

I have noticed discrepancies between readings from my Kickr and my single side 4iiii precision. However, the difference is fairly consistence so I wouldn't cross compare readings. I don't really care much about the actual reading. If I'm doing better than before, that's good. Whether the improvement is from 180 to 200 or from 200 to 220, it's improvement nonetheless. We are not in the Olympics, have fun and don't take it too seriously. The real test is riding outside.

I'm planning on getting dual side PM to see the difference my legs. That's more for my curiosity than winning the gold medal.
You've probably received the email from 4iiii already, but the drive side upgrade to podiiiium (599 USD) seems to be quite a bit more expensive than first reported by dcrainmaker (349 USD for existing single sided precision owners). At this price, I might just take a pass on it.

Yeah I got the email too. Bit more money than I thought for sure. Probably still going to get it.
