I am going to go check it out on my way home from work. I think almost everything should be open in there by now?

Sobeys is not that bad. Just don't go at peak times

It was a gong show because there was a lot of Chinese going for the $10 gift card + some of the good deals.
It seems to be a lot better now the last few times I went in to buy some stuff.
The viet restaurant opens next week, I was walking by and was looking at the menu they posted on the window. One of the people that works there came out and talked to me and also gave me a take out menu.
Went to State and Main on Tuesday night. Surprisingly busy. Will go again.

Been to State &Main twice now and left happy both times. The Vietnamese sub they have
Went to the sobeys to get something. Looks nice but weird layout to the store having the doors all the way to the right like that. Easy to zip in and out on the way down shag though. Also watch for cops near stoney on shag in both directions!!!
Some guy told me that they're building a huge lake in Sage Hill. I think he was bullshitting me, but thought i'd ask. Anyone know anything about this?

I heard many years ago that the reason there are a lot less lale communities in North Calhary has something to do with the bedrock in the area.
No idea if true or not.
Anyone know when the Loblaws is opening?

January it opens. City Market is like a trendy grocery store I think geared towards take home meals like sobeys. It is mostly in more dense areas though I believe in other cities. Just be glad it isn't nofrillsOriginally posted by jwslam

It looks like a fairly large space I was expecting it just to be like another superstore with a different name

Nah, the yellow packaging clashes too much with any modern home's décor.Originally posted by rob the knob

I personally think the State&main here are better than other locations in Calgary,
food and service wise.
Pho sate is pre good, but I wouldn't get the rice though.. Seems kind of a ripoff for the amount of meat you get for the price. Everything else is pre good..
City Market opening January 29th.

I don't understand this whole thing about McD being in Walmart and then having a standalone as well... Same thing at Northland. A&W was the same strat there with foodcourt and standalone.
