Forza Motorsport 6

Just announced at a ford thing. 2015 is the 10th anniversary of Forza Motorsport so I assume this will come out some time in the fall as usual. The game will be the first place to try out the Ford GT, Ford GT350 & Ford F-150 Raptor. Pretty cool but we all knew this was coming. Hopefully night racing and weather this time!

I hope they build the car list way back up and re-balance the economy. The microtransactions just murdered Forza 5 for me.

5 was gorgeous and fun to drive in, but earning and modifying new cars was so totally fucked compared to Forza 4 I didn't play it even a tenth as much.

Yup the number of cars nerfed from 4 was the killer for me. Other than that ait was a great game. WOuld love to see 4 player split screen though.

The longer XBO goes without a decent wheel, the more I consider a solid PC setup to be worth the money.

Its a hard choice because too many cars and we end up with Grand Turismo where every car feels the same. They start cutting corners to get the count up. Pun intended.

I give them a pass because F5 was their first effort for the new console so they rebuilt a ton of stuff. The laser scanned tracks were a huge improvement, the most noticeable being the nurburgring. The microtransactions didn't bother me much as I never used them and in FH2 you can even disable them to just not show up which is nice. The thing I didn't like was not having the tiered upgrades/car discounts like in F4. I also really missed the auction house and certain tracks. Otherwise graphics were great, car models were great, handling was awesome.

I think the thrustmaster is supposed to be pretty good and works with PS4/PC also?

I didn't like 5 as much, it was beautiful game but the lack of cars was a big drawback. I still play 4 on a regular basis simply because of the nodding and amount of cars.

It doesn't work with xbox one though. Best wheel currently is the Thrustmaster TX I think. $400 though.

I think it was the transition to Xbox one. F6 should have all the F5 cars + all the DLC, somewhere around 70 I think, along with FH2 cars and FH2 DLC plus whatever they will add on top of that. The list should be pretty big.

I just want more race cars. I have no use for a lot of the regular street cars. And not the same car over and over with different paint, like the V8 Supercars or the BMWs in Forza 4. I'd like to see some older cars, and more from American series. I think it would be cool to be able to drive '80s NASCAR cars.

And for the love of fuck, fix the way the AI drives. Brake going into a corner. Brake in the middle of a corner. Brake on exit. Brake on a straightaway. Never leave the racing line for any reason, even to pass. I hate the AI. Either make them drive less dumb, or stop starting me in the back of the field, or make it easier to dump them if they get in the way without dumping myself too.

The AI could be way worse... I dunno if Gran Turismo ever updated theirs but I remember racing against the same perfectly flat, slow, uninteresting AI from GT1 all the way to 4. The one thing I don't like about Forza AI is they start racing clean, but the accumulated incidental knocks over a few dozen races and they forever think it is okay to drive like bumper cars and will sideswipe you, rear end you and whatever else. The lead cars in Forza I find drive pretty well overall ... it's the guys in the back who are liabilities

A lot more cars would be nice. More old race cars would be awesome! And I hope you make Forza 4 amounts of money so you can actually buy a car every night of playing or something. Forza 5 you made a pittance from every race, upgrades always cost money, shit like that. I never had enough dough so half the time I played it was in the same old cars I'd been driving the whole game

I miss the free upgrades once you got a manufacturer's affinity up, but I bought the car pass in F5 and got all the DLC cars for free (I didn't have to spend any in-game credits). I think you still had to buy them in F4. If I had to have it one way or the other, I'd take the F5 way (assuming I understand it right).

I'd like to have the auction house back too.

I totally skipped FM5 era due to a lack of a wheel, and started looking at FM6 last night. It's looking real promising. The graphics are top notch, and the story mode looks like a perfect fit for me, or anyone that can't dedicate 1000's of hours on a full on career.

I am unsure which tracks though will be available with rain/night racing. I am very excited though. If you preorder the ultimate edition, $115 tho.... you get to play like 5 days early. Looks promising though after the underwhelming 5 yet amazing FH2.

Well it was a Fantasy track. With the new generation of console they would have to make it all again. I don't think the track list has been released but I would guess that they made a new fantasy track instead.

^^Only fantasy tracks now are prague, bernese alps, test track and the new rio track. Lots of new real tracks though, lime rock etc.

Seems like a very good selection this time. I don't know if there will be DLC tracks this time though.
