    Default Mini-houses - Thoughts

So, a friend of mine has made it into the news a few times over the past couple of years because of where he has decided to call home. Last year he lived through out the winter in a Teepee, and this year he has built himself a mini-home using a shipping container.

Click here for Calgary Herald Article

He has been talking about this for the past few years since I first met him volunteering with Junior Achievements.

What does Beyond think? Could you live in just 120 square feet?

As for the article, i dont even think 120 sqft allows for enough viewing distance for my tv...

Kinda neat, definitely has a creative side to him. I was fairly surprised to read he has a girlfriend though haha

Looked into building one on a small patch of land somewhere as a weekend getaway. Maybe in a few years.

Some cool concepts I have seen on FB but I couldn't do it. Space is just nice to have.

werd. I feel claustrophobic in 800 sq ft condos sometimes.

Why wouldn't someone just get a real trailer.

Why does the media know about this dufus anyways? Hey guys! Check me out! I can get by with living in a teepee or a small shack, I save money and make little impact on the environment!

no kidding. for $20k, you could get yourself a nice trailer with way more space and more amenities.

It'd be a little bit weird. I'll be reading the paper trying to enjoy my breakfast and my gf is literally taking a dump in front of me.

I'd have a hard time making it with at least less than 1000sq/ft at this point... I need 1400+ to feel comfortable.
    And a quadruple garage.

As an avid HGTV watcher.... this is nothing new.

Don't think I can do it. But eventually there will be a day that all I need is a room, a bed and a nurse. So why hurry that up.
