I guess the big question will be price. I imagine it's going to be in the range of $40k+. I imagine it will also not get the benefit of typical Ford rebates much like the Boss 302.
Depends on volume but 2014 ST is being dumped in US for $21-24K right now.Originally posted by heavyD

Because they are making room for the refreshed 2015 models.Originally posted by Xtrema

Both the golf R and sti are at $40k cdn. I can not see it being much over $40k in base model form considering the focus st msrp is $29k cdn.Originally posted by heavyD

If they price it above the 2015 golf r, they will kill the chance of having a sales hit like the fiesta st imo.
I agree it's going to be priced in the same area of the Golf R and STI but one of the benefits of getting a Ford is the rebates and it would be nice if you could say pick up a Focus RS in the summer for employee pricing.Originally posted by HiTempguy1

I agree!
Fiesta st's in the summer of last year had very little incentive to move when I tried to buy one (I decided against it). I think it really comes down to if they limit production or not (which if they do, I think is stupid, why limit a product?)
Focus ST had around $3700 rebate and Fiesta ST had around $2750 during employee pricing. I'm sure they will have rebates on the RS too.
Lots of choice later this year. Golf R, STI, RS, Civic type R or whatever they end up calling it.
It will be interesting when the timelines are for the release of the Golf R and RS. Despite my wife's objections I would put up the STI for sale and get one of these providing the release doesn't fall into winter as it's just too much a hassle to get these cars in winter as you need to get the 3M and winter tires ASAP.Originally posted by Aleks
