Saw a white RS in Beltline around. Quite a menace looking car.

Swung by maclin Ford yesterday. The blue one is on the lot, didn't see any ADM on it. 50,600msrp.
Are they coming down at all on MSRP?
There's a white one at most auto x events. I think the owners name is Jared? Are you on here?
How's the car at auto x?

Not to derail the thread but there's another guy named Ryan in a Cayman S that's been doing very, very well in BSOriginally posted by Sugarphreak
Yeah it is Jarad, and from what I understand he has been kicking ass in B-Street with it
B-Street is a pretty competitive class though, there are a lot of hot cars that ended up in it recently. That said, the car to have is either the S2000 or the Corvette
I've had a few ride with people in the Focus RS for courses, it almost feels like a baby GTR when it accelerates.

Yah Jared is definitely driving well.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
I've heard, haha. What I mean to say is you guys all kick ass in B-Street together
It is his first year racing, and from what I've seen he has been doing well with his RS... I'd say it is a competitive car. I don't know how it shakes out at the national events yet.
So far, not bad, at Spring Nats an RS took 2nd place.
Yep, just behind a 1M weirdly enough.Originally posted by 94boosted

Looks like there a quite a few competitive cars out there in BS with the Focus RS being one of them.
The RS seems to be doing pretty good at the Pro Solo events as well (got to love those 60 ft times with launch control)
The RS is really fun to autocross! I still have lots to sort out in my driving, but the car is very rewarding when you get your inputs right. Must look like a lot of fun to spectators too, since Tom keeps wanting a co-drive
Cheers,
Jared
I just want to see how it compares to a Golf R out on an autocross course..... though I'm yet to bring mine out to an autocross courseOriginally posted by JDC™

Anyone know what changed with the RS to warrant a 10k increase?

I saw that the other day as well. One thing I noticed is there are no options and only fully loaded. Has that always been the case.

I believe that could be the price of the limited edition model... they added a Quaife LSD to the front axle.

Yeah. Notable difference is the mechanical front LSD, but rest is just aesthetic bits. IMO not worth the price bump. I am thinking about the mechanical LSD upgrade though.

RS is also discontinued as well. So there's that limited run tax now
At close to $64,000 all in it's too much, even if it's a limited run. That's much higher than all the cars in its class now.
At ~20 grand more than a Golf R... not even close. Hell at 64 grand you can go get yourself a base S4/C43 or a slightly used loaded one. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
