That's because the show (Top Gear) is NOT technically dead. There will be another iteration, just without Clarkson, May, and Hammond. So, what happened was the current hosts said goodbye, but the show is continuing, albeit with different hosts.

Just like this version of Top Gear was actually version 2. The original Top Gear lasted for like 20 years and was where Vicki Butler-Henderson and Tiff Needell came from before they formed Fifth Gear. (Tiff's review on old Top Gear of the McLaren F1 is hilarious )

The original top gear didnt have a following like this series did. I don't like mild riots would start if Tiff was canned suddenly at any point of his career. I like him though haha.

They would get a much better send off if it didn't end this way. And the 3 are thinking only 3 more years anyway before handing the baton off.

That's because it's not a complete cast. Also, Top Gear itself isn't over but the hosts are leaving.

Finally watched it. I enjoyed it as I always liked the crappy car challenges. Obviously a proper sendoff to the three would have been nice but they did what they could with the footage they had left.

Just saw it. Great episode but that ending was so abrupt.
