DeLonge had hyped a new blink record for the past two years. For him to bail just before is a piss off after building that much hype. I can understand people being pissed off but I wish him well. If he wanted out, he should have started recording a year ago and a short tour to follow. Then be done. Just seems like a sloppy exit.

I'd like to see +44 back at it but Hoppus has Nothing and Nobody and Barker has all his gangster friends he drums for so I don't know. Really wish they lasted at least one more album.

I seen that too but it doesn't really state what his intentions are. He said he never quit, but didn't say he wasn't on hiatus either.

Totally confusing everyone.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was on hiatus again. Basically holding everything up around his own schedule.

Other members haven't said anything other than this so called "statement." Some rumours are flying saying he was kicked out of the band. I guess time will tell the real story.

this band was the pop bubblegum "punk" music that all the tweenagers were listening to when I was in my early 20s. then they were replaced by Justin Beiber

I've seen them live 3 times. At each event, there wasn't any tweens that I seen. I'd say the band was punk before Enema of the State. Then they met Jerry Finn - pop punk up to their self entitled release... now alternative more than anything with Neighborhoods and the Dogs Eating Dogs EP.

I'd like to think most fans are in their mid to late 20's. That being said, I certainly enjoy their music less than what I used to but the music industry today is fairly bleak. I hate the typical mass produced pop music/rap/hip hop. Usually plagues my radio so I'm always playing my CDs from my younger years. Usually Blink, Sum 41, Jimmy Eat World, Offspring, etc... music produced by musicians with actual intruments.
