Rally spec anything rules. Too bad Rallying isn't big in North America. I'd love to get a Peugeot 206 WRC
Damn +44411's
i don't think you can even buy a Peugeot WRC... the stock 206 is a lame tin can...
So is the focus AWD? Are all rally cars AWD?

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
all WRC cars are awd... they are setup way different then production cars.... like the Peugeot 206 for example. the only thing is the same between production and WRC cars is the body shape.....
Most of the FIA rally cars are AWD...and yes the focus in the FIA is AWD. The RS on the otherhand is a FWD 2.0L Zetec turbo engine with 220hp..(around there i think..) From some of the mags i've been reading the RS is supposedly more fun around the track than the WRX, and may be liked as an all rounded car more than the WRX (not STI tho). And the times are pretty comparable to the euro WRX, even tho the focus is FWD. Overall it was stated as a really fun car to drive..and the handling was superb for a FWD car as well.
In europe they are supposedly making a focus that's to have near 300hp and AWD. as close to the rally as possible, but it was suspected that it wouldn't make it's way over to the states (or Canada, my guess)
damn...and i thought the svt focus looked good...i love the styling of that car...
the SVT focus is nothing compared to the RS. and I do believe that Ford will be coming out with the 300hp model as well...and they won't be making it onto northamerican soil either
But that's the way it's always been with the RS market. There's so many awesome RS cars that we don't even know of over here.
and its a ford! so it might actually be affordable ! yay!
yeah sierra rs, escort rs...now this...ford actually could have a pretty good rep as a sport compact manufacturer...if only the other models made it here
now all we need is a Echo TRD.. is there one already
I think car and driver "hinted" a few issues back that north america would be getting a 240hp AWD turbo version, and the 300hp version would go to Europe. If it's AWD, then I'm sold...
