I'm currently with Intact (Brokerlink) 1 house and 2 cars. They really..really pissed me off. I'm paying $3250.00/year with pretty much full coverage.
Is there a better or comparable insurance company that I can switch to?

I would highly recommend Bill from Touchstone...

Touchstone definitely gets good reviews. That said, I've had 2 auto claims handled by Intact in the last 2 years, and they made the process almost painless, no complaints from me.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
Touchstone.... this has all been sorted on Beyond a hundred times before. All things in life should be so cut and dried.
+1 Touchstone. I went from paying $198/month for my auto to $97/Month
Home insurance premiums stayed about the same but more coverage.
Was with TD before now Aviva for auto and pembridge for home. Shelley @ touchstone said it was the better deal
Darren at touchstone has handled all of my insurance last couple of years.
He's always there with questions, concerns, advice, and overall pleasure to deal with. I saved a bit switching to touchstone from TD, biggest thing is the service that I get, and how making life easier for me. They've always gone the extra mile for me to make things painless and hassle free.
I am paying the same as well. 1 house, and 3 cars with Intact

Shelley was able to get me a better policy (lower deductible etc) and save me over $500/yr.
It started about 3-4 yrs ago with Brokerlink, every time I called them to make a change, they would grind me, twist my words and then pressure and bully me into paying higher premiums to max out their profits. This last time I called them was the worst, I just had enough of those pricks. I've never had an insurance claim in 15 years. My entire history with them.

Any one insured with Canadian Direct Insurance? They are being bought out by Intact.
Just received a call from Intact Insurance management team this morning regarding this. They are rebranding Canadian Direct to Belairdirect (Along with Grey Power).
I didn't expect them to buy out the insurance portion of a bank. Good move to eliminate another competitor on their part. Belairdirect is coming from the East.

Told this to my Aviva buddy and he is surprised by this acquisition.

Also with Touchstone, they have me insured with Economical. I saved over $100/ month switching from TD MM.
