An erratically acting man in Washington was throwing rocks at cars before he fled from police Tuesday, leading them to firing their guns multiple times, killing him on the spot.

Well it does say she was put on administrative duties. And what exactly is wrong with that? Doesn't 'innocent until proven guilty' apply to police officers as well? If a civilian was charged with the same thing, you'd argue that they are innocent until found guilty at trial. So why should the police officer be fired before she has been found guilty? She's been put on a desk and her 'powers' to police have actively have been suspended pending the result of her trial. Why should she completely lose her livelihood just after being charged? If found guilty, then I'd understand.

And I would say this applies to everyone, not just the police.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what I was trying to say about your comment of her now having a 'desk job'.

She obviously did something wrong in the eyes of the law which is why she's charged. You said that's insignificant since she's probably given a desk job. I am saying, just cause she's charged, she shouldn't be fired until at least she's been found guilty. Just as I would argue for a civilian charged with a criminal offence to not be fired from a job prior to being found guilty.
