Not sure if it matters but my Golf R ran 13.0 at 105MPH stock, in Edmonton with less than desirable DA.

Also one of my coworkers has a 280hp Accord coupe, automatic however. But we did a pull after work and he had literally no chance. I let him hit 1st gear WOT and then I went and he was wayyyy behind. Ive even kept up to another coworkers Scat Pack 6.4L charger (although he was pulling on the top end a bit).

All in all the 6-6 accord is a great daily driver im sure and a well worthy car for its price point. Id own one.

Yes the VW will always get the CEL's first. lol.
Damn! That thing is moving. 13 flat @ 105 is a great time. Cool to meet a magazine time as well especially in E Town.
Your traction is a huge advantage for sure. And once you take off, it's tough to catch up! Doesn't surprise me that
you jumped the scat pack hard. Those must weigh 4000 lbs ish.

Yeah, the auto version is pretty nuked with a lazy 1-2 shift I believe as well as a little more power train loss. Plus it's
heavier. Plus those have that stupid cylinder deactivation feature which bogs down the engine. And I believe that
there is something different about the cam profiles.

Agree. There are things that I like much more about my brothers MK7 (Interior touches, steering wheel, steering feel, cool plaid
seats and the DSG made me rethink how I feel about auto transmissions.) Great cars. I think that the Accord 6-6 and GTi are
actually cross shopped more than people might think. It's more fun with his JB1 tune and better rubber that's for sure. But he
has also gotten over boost codes from that so that little snail doesn't like the increased workout too much.

    6-6's for all.

Ranger raptor is coming. ROW engine is a 2.0L diesel 210hp 370tq. But we will see a gas engine. Maybe a 2.3 out of the mustang but hopefully they shove the 2.7TT in there.
I would drive that with the 2.7! The current ranger is a bigger truck now than our last gen, right? That’s too bad... would be much more livable than a wrangler as a daily, but still a better off-roading size than a real truck

Did anyone get an email/phone call from a salesperson looking to buy back their Golf R? It was claiming they need cars to sell to their US client because of the exchange rate difference. I replied to the email and haven't heard back(email looked legit, no spoofing).

I continue to get letters from vw asking to buy back my GTI that I sold 5 years ago?

Classic sales technique to get you into a new car.

Yeah I got the same thing email, voicemail, and text message lol. I don't think they really care much about your vehicle, as mentioned they just want you in the dealership to hopefully trade up for something new. If your trade is in good shape and high demand, that's a bonus as they'll make profit reselling that as well.

If Ryan is no longer with VW, I would recommend Kevin Bradley @ Northland VW. Haven't purchased from him but he should be a good guy to deal with.

First time sitting in an R. The side bolsters are fine but the seat bolsters are quite aggressive for my giant ass.

Still no sunroof, what a shame.
