Meaning if a grown man is driving it, I assume he's on a quinoa diet. Priced out it was also well under $50k... considering it has virtually no options at all.

If your asshole fell out because someone said the Golf R wasn't for them, you're working too hard on the wrong things.

Oh, look what you drive. Uh, nice car dude.

Lol. Wth is going in here.

I don't feel like I could have been more diplomatic. It was a car I would have loved when I was a teenager. Dude wants to start spraying diarrhea about it that aint me dude.

I just didn't think it was worth the $43,000 when a fully loaded GTI was near in price, but got you a sun roof, navigation (I think) and a bunch of other bits.

It was fun like a go kart, but seemed impractical even as a commuter car for me and mine.

I'm trading the FRS for one as my 2 kids are getting a bit too big and need their own doors. Other than an RS3 I can't really think of a better option. Maybe a Fiesta ST if the budget was lower, or a C63 if it was higher. :P
That's not sweat. It's your fat, crying.

What dealer did you test drive at? I've been looking to test drive for a while.

Also yeah GTI is for sure better deal. Boggles my mind why the R outsells the GTI in Canada.

Because the R is a far better deal in Canada. We pay almost the same as Americans do for the car dollar for dollar which never happens. We have gone over this many times as a loaded GTI with the PP is a few thousand off an R which has a better engine and AWD. The only time a GTI makes sense in Canada is if you are looking at a base 6-speed model.

No this was a long time ago. It was blue. I responded to your PM.

The leather is a mandatory option in the R, and it has no sunroof. I specifically had to order cloth in my GTI, because I loved the seats so much, and didn't want leather in my winter DD. Yeah, the power and AWD are amazing, but between the lease rates (it was ~7% on the R when I leased my GTI), the forced leather, and no sunroof, it wasn't a super difficult decision for me.

I'd love an R, but I have no regrets getting my GTI, for far less/month.

I was being sarcastic haha. R all day everyday! GTI is a good car but I'd only be comfortable paying 30-33k range for one. 40k+ for a fail wheel drive 210hp gti? Lol.

What kind of fuel mileage is everyone getting? '17 Dsg

I have about 2600kms on mine now. Best tank was 500kms with most of it being highway driving. I believe the car calculates 11/100L. I do drive the car in manual mode often and "spirited".

I drove my parents R out to BC with my dad and did a lot of high speed passing and a couple back road runs and we averaged 7.5L/100km according to the trip computer.
