I have a parking sensor issue. Not a big deal. Even though I have video, Lonestar has said that unless the mechanic "witnesses" the issue, they cannot fix it.
The key not detected isn't just a Caddy problem. Had that on my BMW and my last MB and current MB.
Your truck however, is a lemon. haha

Is there something I'm missing? Is there a reason you haven't gone to CBC/CTV etc? Ask them to ask an insurance agent and get their opinion on what would happen if there was an accident.
I appreciate that you're being professional, but you've been screwed over for months, not sure why you're giving them the benefit of the doubt continually
Hes not going to do that, sounds like OP hates confrontation. I would avoid it the first month or so myself, but this clearly has gone overboard.Originally posted by Brent.ff

CBC/CTV need the name of the dealership which the OP isnt willing to provide....even though this has helped others (legitimately) in the past.

I'm going public, but there's a process. As mentioned before, I selectively gave it to an automotive journalist... He's working on stuff, following up, it's his story.Originally posted by revelations

I'm not going to just send this to a million different parties and have some fiasco. The worst thing I could do is send this to a million different parties, that way, no one would care since other media outlets are covering it.
There's a process to this guys, steps that have to be followed. I'm not giving up, I guarantee you that. I feel like I've been screwed and wronged, and jerked around.
This isn't the end, it's just beginning. I'm still making the payments, still doing what GM says (every time I follow their instructions, more shit adds to the story), and I'm also keeping everyone posted.)

You went to a guy on a very specific AM station. Sorry to say, that's not how you're going to get it fixed. Yeah, he has connections, but the longer you sit on it the harder it is going to be to get fixed. What if his "connections" ignore him for another 2-6 months?
Going to CBC or CTV with a "they sold me this brand new car, and I'm afraid I'm going to kill someone" is a hell of a compelling story. The longer you wait, the longer the audiences question will be "well why did he wait so long".
You need to man up and deal with your issues before you negligently kill someone. Time to be a man and deal with GM.
Criminal negligence
219. (1) Every one is criminally negligent who
(a) in doing anything, or
(b) in omitting to do anything that it is his duty to do,
shows wanton orreckless disregard for the lives or safety of other persons.
So again you need to step this up or otherwise you bought yourself a 100K paper weight because under your own admission you stated you don't feel safe driving the vehicle for fear that you may lose breaking power and be involved in a accident.
OP do you cause issues with other electronic devices by chance?
Don't worry, I'm not driving it. And I'm not sure if you've read up above, but I've been dealing with GM since January, I've done everything they have said, and they are still telling me that everything is fine (and it's not). Please read all the other posts, you'll get an idea of what's been going on and what I've been dealing with.Originally posted by kolumbo69

Drove it in December (first month of ownership), once the braking concerns started happening, I took it in to the dealer right away...
There were a few weekends in January and February where I was called to pick it up on a Friday or something, only to drive it back to the dealer the following Monday.
Keep in mind it was in the shop for virtually all of January and February.
When I got it back from the dealer, for the most part it's just been sitting in my garage doing nothing since I don't feel it's safe to drive.
Then again, in April GM Canada asked for the vehicle to be towed back, which it was at the dealership for most of the month of April.
They said the engineer said the vehicle was safe/fine, so I started driving it again after I got it back until I had a few of the scares again with the brakes and the service brake assist pop up, which after another conference call, I was told this isn't a concern if the message doesn't re-appear after the vehicle is restarted (I still refuse to drive it).
I don't want you to think I'm being negligent, I seriously have not been driving this vehicle around. I have two vehicles, and have been driving my car around (another reason why I'm pissed because I've put 20,000+km on it so far this year, those km's should have been put on the Escalade.)
Nope, no dash cam, no nothing... I don't even have satellite radio activated because I don't drive it. The stereo has so many issues with bluetooth audio, and bluetooth phone calls that I don't even use it since it's so buggy (it declines calls, and music is jolty). It even can't connect to my ipod. Literally I hate driving the vehicle because of the braking issues and all the other sounds, creeks, buzzes it makes...Originally posted by revelations

I was more referring to the case where some people seem to cause havoc with electrical devices placed near them. I know one fellow who couldnt wear a digital watch for eg. (went through 4-5 in a short period, kept resetting, wierd display errors).
I would have no issues driving it. You are not an automotive expert, GM and their techs are (...). They have said there is no issue, so you are clear from a personal liability standpoint. You have documentation that you've been asking them repeatedly about the brakes and they says it's normal. Also, if you do take it to a brake specialist, you can still bill the work under warranty (with a bit of fighting).
If it were ME, I would take the truck to a totally different dealership like in Airdre or High River or something, and focus on the brakes ONLY. Shut-up about seat rattles, creaking and Nav/Bluetooth stuff. They cannot process a laundry list. Focus on what's important. If not a dealer, find a proper brake specialist shop and get it fixed even if it costs you 1000.
Just FYI another beyonder had an issue with their Ford where it would just lurch ahead suddenly with power - at a crosswalk, a drive through, randomly. They had video, Ford tried to replicate/fix, but in the end said "as designed". They were able to trade it in since they were not first owners and not so deep underwater. But the company would rather kill someone than dig deep enough to fix it.
There's still ongoing "direction", GM Canada notified the service manage at the dealership, and asked me to take it in at my convenience. I'm going to follow their direction before I do anything else.Originally posted by Khyron

Thanks, it's an absolute joke it has gone this far. I was furious the first couple months, the couple months after that I just put it out of mind somewhat since there was nothing I could do. Now with all the new calls, and the last visit where the engineer came in, I'm pissed...Originally posted by ExtraSlow

Like I'm losing sleep again I'm so pissed...
And then they have the nerve to tell me that they are extending the $5,000 management rebate for a year in case it's not financially viable to trade it in vehicle if there's no other incentives?
Someone sent the info off to their contact at CBC Alberta, and I submitted everything to the submission e-mail for CBC marketplace.
We'll see what happens...

Good luck. Have you heard of any other owner with similar problems?
A lot of owners are having a couple of the 19 issues I am, but I'm the only one having the braking issues. One other guy is having an issue with the vehicle slamming on the brakes for no reason, but his brakes are working.Originally posted by lilmira

I do arbitration all the time.
Keep the work orders that have NFF. ROOKIE MISTAKE.
GM loves that quote.: Vehicle operating to manufactures specifications. is want you want on print.
NFF just means they cannot find a fault but it could exist..
Soon as they print working to manu specs now shit will hit the fan if something should happen.
Get that statement in writing.
VEHICLE OPERATING AS PER MANUFACTURES SPECIFICATIONS.
