We usually have Crokinole tournaments at Xmas time, rummoli, settlers of catan, ticket to ride.

7 Wonders
Looping Louie... I don't get how 21+ year olds can find that game so fun. Actually I probably shouldn't be talking seeing as I bought my own game from the Salvation Army in Victoria for when ours inevitably loses some pieces.
We've been playing Bang! The walking dead version
and the whole entire catan series/expansions. Telestrations is also a good one as someone mentioned earlier.

Crib is my game... My Grandpa made me play for a buck a game when I was in the single digit age bracket and he didn't just let you win... lol! I used to play in legion tournaments for years.
My good friends dad taught me how to play crib when me and my buddies were all in jr high. He was ruthless with us if we couldn't count our hands fast enough.
These days I still play against him with my friends at the private mens club where I also 10-pin bowl.
Man that makes me sound old.
You should check out "Among the Stars". It's essentially the evolution of 7 wonders. Haven't touched my 7wonders since I got a copy.Originally posted by Impreza
7 Wonders
Big 2 and Ma Jong
This picture just made me remember, when I was living in Lethbridge a few years ago, I used to go out to a place a few times a week and they had a crib board behind the bar.Originally posted by sputnik

Risk and usually a couple rounds of cards (41)
For those who enjoy playing 7 Wonders, make sure to try the Leaders expansion.
Power Grid, T'zolkin, Saboteur, 7 Wonders, Love Letter are just a few of the games my group enjoys. Someone should set up a beyond board game meet.

and it's not a 4 person vibrator.
Cards against humanity is fun about 4 times and then is just the same things over and over. I much prefer "Things" "things in a box" or "the game of things" one of those 3 is the name of the game but I cant remember. Its like Cards against Humanity but you write your own so its a million times better.
I actually played Hearts a lot of my ski trip this past weekend, so fun to screw people over with the Queen of spades.

Apples to Apples is a good alternative because you end up with shit you've never heard of and it's always a hoot trying to explain your answer when you have no clue wtf it is. And there's the creative people that always make it hilarious.
I liked cards against humanity, however after you've played through the deck once, it isn't much fun anymore since all the shock value hilarity is gone. The other thing I don't like is that *SO MANY* cards are just people's lame names or places, that aren't funny no matter how they are used. You end up with so many rounds where people just randomly burn cards in hopes of picking up funny ones, and it gets old fast. Definitely had some good laughs, but you need a new expansion after every time you play through the deck pretty much, if you want it to stay funny (just in my opinion anyway).
Things (in a Box) has proven to be much more fun, with much more repeat playability and can be as clean or dirty as you like.
Agreed on Cards against humanity. Funny the first two times then slowly dies. You play with people who haven't played it and they find it hilarious and you seem like a dud when you're not dying of laughter too.
Any one tried Charades against Humanity?
We're always playing Canasta. Hardest part is getting the rules down before you start. Great game if you can get 6 people together.
My favourite is Sheepshead. A little steep on the learning curve but will keep you thinking every turn.
Dutch Blitz! Four player game... I need to get the expansion to make it a total 8 players. That would be chaotic!
Oh man, I completely forgot about Crokinole! Great game, used to play it very often when I was younger.
My friends and I have been playing a lot of Sentinels of The Multiverse .There's quite a few expansions an many variations that will keep you busy for a while.
We also started playing Terra Mystica. This is one of those resource management games, similar to Power Grid but with special abilities.
We picked up Dead of Winter , but we haven't had a chance to play it yet.
Bonus: If you want to hate your friends, play Hanabi.
Agreed completely.Originally posted by mr2mike

It was shocking/funny at first but got boring really quick.
Being Alberta, surprised no one plays this game.
