Has anyone tried Rogaine on their beards? A guy at my work purchased some but he's since left so I don't know if it worked for him.

Edit: I have used it in combination with Propecia to combat Male Pattern Baldness with great success.

I like the mammoth oils but have recently gotten into a different one.

I have a buddy that has a beard sponsorship (yes they actually exist) and he hooked me up with Apothecary 87 oil and I find they have softened my beard more than the mammoth did.

The other tip I got was to use wide tooth comb on your beard.
Purchased some Apothecary 87 last week, cant wait to give it a try!

Sounds like a case of penis envy or Bruce Jenner disease.

I make beard oil, haven't tried selling it but I use it and it smells awesome (manly yet sexy) and keeps the softness and flakes at bay. I also make a facial lotion that utilizes cocoa butter, maintainning that natural scent.

I'm gonna need to get the beard properly trimmed within the next few weeks here. If all goes well I plan on growing it for the next 6 months. The cutting edge seems good to give it a nice trim hey? Kind of want to get that little fade going into a full Spartan style beard lol

I've ordered a few different oils to keep it smelling nice after a good wash. Brush mine with a boar bristle bamboo brush. With the oil and brush I always have a very lustrous finish and if anyone gets in close enough usually has a nice faint smell of whatever oil im using.

The one im using now has Safflower, Almond, Grapeseed, Jojoba, Argan, Castor, and Olive Oil and then sandal wood, cedarwood and pine needle oils for scent.

Don't forget to put your hair into a bun to be extra hipster.

(Disclaimer: I've been clean shaven for O&G for the last 12 years. Grow a beard every breakup. Not a hipster.)

I've got a few buddies who are all about the beard, full metal dudes though no hipster haha

I can grow a thick base in a week, not for me though. I'd rather get my face lasered and never shave again (which, ironically, could also be accomplished by growing a beard I guess)!

That being said it's neat how, as evidenced by this thread, the resurgence of popularity has spawned a whole industry of beard accessories.

I wish I didn't grow facial hair, I have the fastest growing facial hair out of anyone I know which I hate as I like being clean shaven. I've only ever grew it out during movember and never quite enjoyed it.

As for the hipster comment, I see so many guys around with beards and man-buns now adays it makes me face palm. If you grow a beard and look like a man and not a pussy then all the power to you.

I just get amused when I go to a pub downtown and 60% of the guys inside look the same. Long slick or combover retro style. Beards. Cardigans. But I agree, if it suits you do it. I certainly prefer myself with a beard. Luckily I'm like S1, it grows in absurdly fast. Beard on days off, clean shaven at work. Always been my style.

the only downside is that working construction...everything friggin gets in it. chunks of wood, drywall, carpet, dust, paper, tape...only thing i hate. but then again it's not that bad since i chopped off about 6 inches off my beard.
