Color Debacle

My mind is not letting me see the black and blue and ive probably seen at least 20 pictures with this f'n dress. I want to see it but I just cant

I'm sitting at the office with a customer and he asked me to tell me what colour the dress was. I said black and blue and he called me crazy. I seriously thought he was fucking with me until we started reading about it.

About an hour later he came across the picture again as he was surfing the net and now he sees it as blue and black instead of the white and gold he saw before. He's telling me if he looks at the top part of the dress that it all looks white and gold, but if he looks at the bottom part then it looks blue and black.

I called the Mrs. before she went to bed and had her look at it. She also sees white and gold.

the picture is overly exposed and you might detect some hint of white and gold but for simplicity I would say it was black and blue

To me (on this monitor anyway) the first picture looks like baby blue & gold. Second picture is obvious.

Edit: And it's COLOUR, not color, unless your passport says USA.

This is wild. It couldn't be more blue and black, but my office is 50/50. I've seen dark blue and black since the first moment I looked at it.

The actual color of the dress is blue and black, the chick that posted the original picture posted her mom wearing the dress at the wedding in proper lighting.

What I find hilarious is that every single couple sees the colors differently, and its creating some epic arguments haha.

edit - we're mostly gold and whites at work, I printed it out on a printer for fun, and bam the printed pic is blue and black for everyone. I guess it's how monitors (LCDs?) present it that fucks with people.

First time I saw it on facebook I didn't get what the deal was because it was clearly white and gold.....now every time I've seen it since it's been more and more obviously black/blue. Crazy. Do our eyes have some kind of white balance deal that's throwing this stuff off?

Exact same thing happened to me, I've been trying to see it as white/gold again but I only see blue/black now.

First time I saw it yesterday it was clearly white/gold then I saw it on this thread and saw blue/black (wtf?). I scroll down the page and scroll back up now all I see is white/gold again.

It is neat, the different perceptions, I have used three different monitor sources and it is ALWAYS white and gold to me regardless of viewing angle, etc.

Am I actually wearing a black shirt today? I DON'T FUCKING KNOW ANYMORE!!!!
