Kinda old news but yeah, people will do anything for a quick buck.
Not surprised really...when I went to China my buddy tried all kinds of friend foods...one of them was fried in a metal barrel....with the original "paint thinner" label on the side...
I pretty much stay away from any "Made in China" food, you just never know. I tell me wife to buy the "Made in Japan"food stuff whenever possible, even if its twice or more the price.

At first I thought HK is good then they found out their supply chain of most ingredients are now from China. You just hope HK government catches it.
Then I thought Taiwan is ok, then they fucked up too.

End of the day, don't eat Asian processed food unless you have to.

In HK and Beijing I ate anything.
This has been around for a long time and only recently has been coming into the media.
Like I posted in my thread, even Starbucks carried gutter oil cooked products. You can find all the chain restaurants you want, you just won't know.Originally posted by kobe tai

No, because one would be an idiot to assume that everything coming out of Japan is contaminated. The place isn't a nuclear wasteland, and they have food safety standards as a developed country, something that China is trying to implement, but it's a culture change that they just aren't really ready for yet. Do anything to survive mentality. Hell the Chinese dude in the video even says it.Originally posted by Maxt

Having a BP close to home AND my office it's often a restaurant of choice.
Please say the boston brute's on the good list.
It is real, because poverty is real.
Difficult to imagine in our own land of plenty.
I was yanking your chain .
I've been to Japan 9 time, and ate just about everything there, but there was some sketchy milk blending going on to reduce the radioactivity in the supply. We took our own food for our youngest child.

Basically anything that requires any depth of cooking, steer clear. Or at least have a good STIFF drink with what you are eating to balance things out.
