Default Anyboyd have ideas to remove dried cement from car?

The wonderful construction site above my parking spot splattered concrete all over the body of my car last year...that stuff is dried on in the worst way, but luckily most of its just small speckles. I need to scrape it off though, anybody have ideas how to go about without completely destroying my paint job? Basically thinking some kind of chemical is going to be needed, it's just that dry... I'm thinking WD40 might help but who knows

Sadly, you'll probably just have to manually pick it off carefully 1 by 1.
Then wash the car, then pre wax cleaner then wax.

Don't know of any fast acting chemical that won't ruin the paint too.

I was thinking claybar too, but honestly this stuff is fully dried drippings. I scraped a bit with my knife and if I'm careful it doesn't scratch anything, but was hoping somebody might know a shortcut

Call your insurance. This exact thing happened to me. Don't attempt to remedy it yourself. The construction company will pay for that. My bill was $14000, not kidding. Concrete is really bad for paint.

Last year? It might be too late to call the insurance co. now
How can you prove it didnt happen somewhere else?

Worth a call, I'd thought about suing the construction company when I first noticed it but didn't think it was worth the hastle. For some reason I never considered insurance, they're going to call me back tomorrow.

rubber body fill spreader, if they are just little specks they should come right off, I don't know what it does to the clear coat, but when it is all over the back of a concrete truck I would use a paint scraper.

I've seen vehicles get written off for concrete spatter. Nearly impossible to remove.

Just as an FYI, you have 2 years to make a claim.

Yeah, once you get it off it will have likely eaten through your clear, meaning that side of your car is probably getting repainted.

Is this a legal thing? Good to know either way, my agents always treated me right anyway. The construction was only just getting started two years ago if I remember, and only finished the concrete portion in summer '14.

Vinegar will dissolve the concrete and it should rinse off. Just put some in a cloth or paper towel, just let it sit for a few minute then pour water on it to rinse it off. It should mostly come off without damaging anything.

AFAIK, any auto claim must be made within 2 years of the incident. So if you can prove when concrete was being poured, you would have 2 years from that time to make the claim.
