We're looking at possibly getting a fridge with an ice/water dispenser. Don't have this in our current fridge.
Basement is unfinished.
Any recommendations from Beyond on a plumber to install and hookup water line to a fridge?

Home Depot has a kit, it's a 2 minute job.

I wouldn't use that valve with that kit, as I think they are inferior and may leak eventually.
PM me if you still want a plumber with your location and contact info. I'll pass the info along to my good journeyman plumber bud if he is interested.
Fair enough. I'm not sure they'd be all that prone to leaking but the water pressure out of them can be kind of low. If the OP wants to pay someone to come in and do it that's cool, I was only pointing out it could be done pretty quickly and cheaply if he wanted to do it himselfOriginally posted by jeffh

yup, may be worth it to buy the kit, toss that valve, and separately buy a better quality valve. Depending on you plumbing pipes…easy if it's pex, you can also buy a pex crimper, a few crimp rings, and put in some blood, sweat n tears…and have a nice little diy project.
Thanks for the replies guys. Would rather have someone do it professionally and do it right the first time rather than fix something I may mess up. Have pm'd.
