A fluff episode in a 6 episode season. Nice.

Exactly like the original series. They have dark writers and light writers, and use the full spectrum.

Never used to find her attractive when I was younger, but wow... Digging her now... And that voice! :P

    haha

I found last night's episode interesting... While I wasn't a fan of the episode, it keeps in touch with the true X-Files series...

While there was a background main story in the old the days, there were a lot of episodes that didn't really have a relation to the "main story" and were kinda time fillers between the episodes that did add to the main story...

I hated the episode but towards the end it became a strong dislike. Anyway they should have kept the episodes serious.

This whole season is in prep for a new movie anyway. Im guessing but it's a good bet.

This typical Chris Carter hackery. There's a reason the guy has not done anything noteworthy before or after X-Files. He got lucky to come up with an intriguing concept but has absolutely no writing ability.

6 episode season? Should've been like a 6-part movie. A filler episode is just ridiculous.

X files went to complete shit after season 6 and should have really just ended after the 1st movie which was actually pretty good. But, I have to give Carter credit for Millennium which was a damn good show.

I'm enjoying it, the ones who don't just shouldn't bother watching any more.

Agree that a fluff episode in a series with only 6 is disappointing, but I still enjoyed it.

Re Gillian, yep still hot. There's a vidcap from a movie (supposedly) of her, nips for days!

Absolutely loving this season. And to those ragging on Episode 3..you didn't get. X-Files has always had a goofy side. This episode was fantastic, and was all about speaking to the issues Mulder is dealing with.

The existential crisis Mulder is facing since learning that his life's passion was all a set up has really thrown him for a loop. He's doubting everything; himself, his work, his life... And take a look at Mulder's personality over the original series and the movies...he's always one short quip away from comic relief.

This unexplained "monster" was all about questioning the human experience (i.e. Mulder's internal crisis)...and in the end, it manifested itself to Mulder and then vanished without explanation. This is Mulder regaining his passion! He now knows for sure that unexplained phenomena exists, again.

As an X-Files purist, I absolutely loved this episode. But I totally get how someone who has not been entrenched in X-Files culture since day one would see this as a lame one.
