Honeywell Security

Good day

Does anyone use Honeywell for security? Had the sales guy come by today. Looks like they are pushing out into Cochrane now.

The sales pitch was that they would put a sign outside the house and in return they would provide the hardware (not sure what) for free.

Couple things I noticed was that it's all wireless and my house is pre-wired. I can't see that making a huge difference. The other thing was the fact that I can't find any details on pricing. He mentioned its $50+.

Does honeywell actually provide the service?

For example all of the hardware on my adt system is honeywell.

I got this funny feeling that they are not to popular.

I think I will wait and go with a company that's more established with service.

Honeywell doesn't operate in residential home security sales.. Like mentioned above they are the massive conglomerate that manufactures many products that are used by every other company, And they also have divisions that sell building automation to commercial customers directly.

Sounds like the sales guy was using the Honeywell name to sell his product.

Honeywell provides a ton of hardware security system wise and is very popular however as stated above they do not do residential sales or service.

Did the sales person not give his own company info and/or who would actually be servicing/monitoring it?

Is the person representing honeywell?
Honeywell does not do door to door sales and only supplies to it's var channel distributors.

Look up honeywell scam on google. There's tons of scammers out there performing this trick.

Which part of Cochrane are you in? I just moved there and was thinking of picking up a sign but that's about it.
