They said work will start in "construction season" haha, isn't that right now in the middle of summer?

Among the permits the corporation still needs to secure are: approvals from the National Energy Board to authorize construction, authorizations under the Fisheries Act, permits under the Species at Risk Act, approval under the Indian Act, authorization under the Canadian Transportation Act, and approval and licensing under the Explosives Act.
Now let’s see how long these other approvals take.......

They should be able to start the westernmost part right away.

Pipelines are actually fairly straightforward, it should take about six to nine months, it might even take less because there's so many unemployed construction workers in Alberta.

Pretty sure it starts around Edmonton then SW down to Burnaby. Is ground soft even in the Edmonton area?

I love the salty fb comments. Nothing better than to see protestors lose.

I find all this “consult with the FN” to be complete and utter nonsense.

It's just a tiny bunch of well funded protesters and FN groups that are causing all the problems.

Don’t think so, only section built is the anchor loop through Jasper. But ya they’ll construct all winter

Fn people are just like you but with more individual power within the democracy. Congrats on your second tier status
