Default Wealth Redistribution - by force - watch out boomers!

"If we do not enact substantial change now, then a generation of young people will soon take power,” Reid and Templeman write. “When they do, all indications are that they will enact policies that not only forcibly redistribute in blunt ways, but also upend the very foundations of capitalism."
Scary shit for people on the road to 7.2, or anyone who's already "made it" financially.

Capital gains tax on primary residences would trigger a huge housing crash as many boomers would try to dump their homes before this takes place

Its going to happen with or without Marxist activists. The buying power of FIAT currencies around the globe are shirking steadily and will continue to do so. FIAT money system was doomed long time ago. The dunces in power know this and will apply insane new taxes post covid.

Won't affect us in our generation at least. Big money won't let it happen. Change takes a shit ton of time.

On a side note, legalization of weed around the world is going to help save everyone from Covid debt woes.

CRA can't even keep track of people breaking this primary residence rule. Crack down on that first.

Anyone who "made it" has nothing to worry about, just need to figure out which country to relocated to or keep assets in.

If they haven't left yet, and own property here, they do have lots to worry about. Maybe if they've already sold everything and just haven't booked the plane ticket yet, then...

What can happen is the mass renouncing of Canadian citizenship and instead buying into countries that have less laws and taxes - but not necessarily living in those countries either.

Then once the well off have left the country, the socialists can do with the lack of economy as they please.

Ask socialist Quebec how well thats gone for them the last 30 years - nothing but a money dump.
