Sasol and others have expertise in this, but it's a well studied process. I'm not an expert, so I won't paste the wiki, but check it out :

"GtL". Like the wiki article likely says. Take natural gas and turn it into synthesis gas (H2 + CO) or get that from gasified coal or even gasified biomass (wood chips). Then, run it through the FT process and hydrocrack/fractionate the wax into diesel/jet. Shell Pearl is a huge facility in Qatar doing this (similar).

Germany fueled WW2 with this technology. It works.

I agree whole heatedly with what he said. We are our own worst enemy. And by that I mean Canada is Canadian's worst enemy when it comes to economic prosperity.

I checked the link. Interesting. I've worked with a ton of different processes, but never that one.

Canadian Crude Index down to 32.11.
Alberta producers are going to love this.

Anyone else see this? Owner is denying that the company commissioned it but Twitter sleuths coming up with stuff that makes it seem like this is their MO. Good way to get on blacklists and lose customers if they actually did do it. I’m sure the truth will come out eventually

Not that I think the image is acceptable, but why do they assume she is being raped?

hardly the most pornographic sticker I've come across. Not appropriate to reference a minor though.

The assumption she is being raped because she is under 18. Not correct obviously but who cares.

It's a distasteful connotation regardless. No business should have thier name associated with anything like this. Pretty stupid.

    Are they referencing Greta though?
The tattoo is a tramp stamp, so perhaps they are referencing the energy industry fucking the environmentalists who support Greta.

    Regardless, terrible taste

Anyone ever said "oh, fuck that guy!!"? Were you accused of homosexual forced sodomy for saying that?
This is a graphical representation of "Fuck Greta" and nothing more. In this case, "fuck Greta" means "Greta can fuck off" and not "Greta deserves to be raped". It's not complicated.
I wouldn't buy it and I wouldn't have associated my biz with it; however, I like free speech and people losing their shit over this is not acceptable.
It's clearly not about rape, child abuse or the endorsement of either.

    Je suis Charlie.

Oh, and here's the picture before someone burns down whatever business and has someone executed because Free Speech hurt someone right in the feeling:

    Poor taste for sure.

Saw Greta and Malala in a photo together recently with folks talking about how great these two ladies are. Frankly, Malala is leaps and bounds more respectable in her struggles and achievements than Greta ever will.

And this other little blonde child trying to be the anti-Greta... Using kids like this is shameful.

Mainly it's just unfortunate that there is another oil field service company, confirming the stereotype of Alberta that the East already thinks about us. That we are a bunch of inbred yokels.

Yes, I agree! I'm more referring to those who want this type of thing banned or punished by law. They're welcome to yell about it, but it's critical that they are unsuccessful.

How in the hell does the AB Government continually budget unrealistic oil prices:

"under the budget's low oil price scenario — where the WTI price is $57 US a barrel in 2022-23 — employment is 20,000 or 0.8 per cent lower by 2023."

Aren't there many critics who argue that she's a puppet reading a script? Is a puppet a product and a product a brand?

Because its easier to lie about the price of oil to hide the rest of the UCP's incompetence and the fact that their corporate tax cut is going to leave a massive whole in the budget.

Unrealistic near and long term commodity price forecasts have been a fixture of provincial budgets for decades. That's another thing I wish we could take out of the hands of politicians and instead have a prescriptive numerical calculation based on public data take care of.

All politicians lie, it's just a question of what type of lies you prefer.
