    Default Bumper towing question

    Just wondering if anyone has a hit of knowledge in regards to towing with a ball hitch directly off the factory bumper of a base model, 2wd 2014 F150...

    I just picked up a little 14 foot aluminum boat and trailer today. It is light as hell (me and my neighbour can easily pick up and carry the boat as well as the trailer with no difficulty... I would be surprised if the entire weight combined was 400/500 lbs) so I am not worried about it being to heavy strength wise. I am more worried if there are any regulations I need to worry about. Looking online I haven't located specifics and being Sunday everyone I would call is closed...

    Anyone?

    No big deal, we used a Ford Ranger to haul around a 1000lb combined trailer/boat weight.
