There is a 2 part animated movie that pulls this off already. If you like comic books then you should watch " The Dark Knight Returns" part 1 and 2. I thought they did an awesome job. As long as its a new storyline and follows the dark of the Bat and the good of the superman I think it will be awesome.

Pretty much… one of the things that makes Batman movies interesting is his mortality. Instead of calling this “Batman VS Superman”, they should call it “Batman gets his ass kicked by a physics defying demi-god”

Actually this movie is based off the cartoon/comic and its quite the opposite. And apparently without reading into too much Batman actually kicks Supermans ass.

And I hope the movie holds true to the series.
