Now that I actually watched it, are you saying focus groups are racist? Your argument makes no sense. People said what they thought and are therefore racist.

I see you've owned 2 Honda's and currently are on your third. I find this interesting due to the fact that Honda's recent airbag problems have caused about 1,700 deaths. And to make matters worse, Honda tried to cover it up, and when caught blamed it on a software glitch.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/...cd5_story.html

You've probably also heard of the insulting commercial Honda had to pull earlier this year, or the one they had to pull in 2007.

So, are you going to sell your car? If not, why?

When fighting a war sometimes you cannot eliminate all your enemies at once. Pick the the you feel is the worst and start there. The airbag scandal as I am sure you know, spread across almost every car manufacturing company. Hard to pin it on one specific company because their all guilty.

Honestly if your not willing to talk about new ideas on how to reel in the corruption and put a stop to it then your wasting your time trying to convince me I am wrong for attempting to provoke change. I won't deny the fact that obviously i don't have all the answers but fuck at least im trying. You may all be ok with sitting back and watching the world burn but I refuse to sit back and do nothing, even if its futile and nothing I can do will ever change anything. For what its worth, if you don't have anything positive to add, then fuck off

Hilarious. ryanallan being constructive and adding to the discussion of this thread without being personal or attacking anyone, and you get MGCM being all emotional (as usual), misunderstanding things, getting his panties in a bunch, and taking things personally.

If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.

I thought the commercial was pretty stupid, but if they think it will help them sell more trucks...

MGCM is just rattled because they are taking shots at his cars brotha from anotha motha. It could have just as easily been a civic in there..... Which is basically a new 2002 DC5 K20A3 (Cool kids way of listing a base model RSX I believe)... I think that's the connection he must have made in his head which outraged him.

    He feels stereotyped!!!! Poor fella...

So if i understand the point of this thread.

Someone who would never consider buying a GM product anyways, doesn't think a GM commercial is funny and has decided to "boycott" GM over it.

Concept spirals until we are talking about corporate corruption and watching the world burn.

    Did i get that right?

Oh, and i think the new Colorado is pretty

I am 100% ok with the concept of a "truck"

I don't kid myself about what kind of utility or capacity I need from a truck unlike 90% of Alberta.

I think GM just shifted from campaigns that played on nostalgia and the heritage of the company and moved to these ones in an effort to reinvent the brand a little and sell to people who wouldn't previously have considered GM. They sure seem to have purchased a lot of ad space though.

For the record I think the ads are silly as they tend to ignore any technical data on the vehicles (even simple things like horsepower and fuel economy) and instead focus on the fact that they have Wi-Fi. However, it's no different than Ford with their commercials that made Sync, parallel parking assist, and the hands-free tailgate the primary focus.

Word, this thread is truly idiotic. Yes, a supposedly racist ad is from an evil sinister corporation intent on destroying the world.

So it's better to boycott them and buy Honda ' s because they have a flawless track record right? Yes, sheer brilliance.

So what are you doing to prevent the world from burning exactly?
How is your lifestyle any different then anybody else's?
