Dog shit & shitty dog owner's

Is there a natural and STRONG way to deter dogs from shitting on one's lawn? I would love to know. Dogs are fine, just pick up your shit. I think someone passes by during early or late hours and but doesn't pick up their dog's mess. Owner's like this are pretty pathetic.

I'd set up a cam but don't have the resources right now. A smart sign might be awesome but I think a person like this might be too stupid to read, I dunno.

Suggestions?

We had some neighbors that would let their dog out in the morning and it would always run over to my place and shit on the lawn. We tried talking to them about it but they did nothing. So the next time it happened my ex wife bagged it up and put it on their doorstep. It still happened so the next time I grabbed my shovel and scooped it up and put it on their doorstep. After this happened a couple of times it stopped!

i have the same issue finding it on my front lawn. But it's rare enough that i can't say a camera would catch them. About 3-4 times since last fall.

I would not recommend a sign. Assholes like these might find it amusing to have the dog shit by the sign. I've seen the "pick up after your dog sign" by our park with a few bags of shit surrounding it.

Retarded that people let their dogs do this and don't carry poop bags and pick up after them. But not all pet owners are responsible...

Same issue here. I think the dogs escapes and comes takes an elephant shit on our lawn. At least I hope the owner isnt actually letting the dog do it... Still pretty pathetic either way.

I had this happen. I put up a sign where the dog shit was. I told them I knew who they were and the next time there'd be dog shit on their front step. It stopped right after.
