    Default Convertible top replacement

    Hello everyone,

I have a '67 Impala convertible that had its top torn in the last big hail in Airdrie. Fortunately no glass damage but a few dents here and there that I can live with at its just a nice little cruiser. It happened just before my vintage car appraisal appointment, so I'm out of pocket for the damage.

I'm having trouble finding a place or someone to redo the convertible top for me. I'm on a couple waiting lists but would like the top to be fixed sometime this spring. The guy I know who usually does this type of work retired as well.

Can anyone make a solid recommendation? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dad had his 70 Cutlass done at DeGreeve automotive, think it was ~ $1,500. Still looks good, five years old now.

Order it from year one https://www.yearone.com/Catalog/1958...nvertible-tops , spend some time working on the frame, install - takes a solid weekend to do it right... Haven't done an impala, but the camaro wasn't TOO bad - took 3 of us and a lot of fartassing around making adjustments to get it right, but - definitely not hard. (kinda like swapping a fender - yeah you can slap it on in an hour, but it wont look right, fair bit of shimming/tweaking/pulling and adjusting to get it 'right' - then you open/close it a few times and do it all over again - because the damn thing moves/stretches as you do it)

Either Degreeve or Cascade Vans & Interior; I've had upholstery work done at both places and both did an excellent job.

Thanks everyone for their input and information. Degreeves got me booked in at the end of the month and gave me a deal too! I also have a '65 Galaxie convertible so he promised to get to that one over the summer and give me an additional discount on that car.
